The Aqua Tower in Chicago was designed by Jeanne Gang: with its 256 meters, is the tallest building ever built by a woman. The Gang Architects in collaboration with Jim Loewenberg, has invented a new icon, a mix of private homes and hotels. The name of the skyscraper is a tribute to a smooth succession of the waves of concrete that run vertically along the height of the skyscraper, creating projections of up to 3.7 meters. Thanks to these terraces created by the projections, you can enjoy the amazing view of Chicago. The project is inspired by the lands of Illinos, in fact, steel and glass facades reproduce the rock formations and the great lakes.
Sustainability was an important element in the design of Aqua, in fact Gang and her team use sustainable solutions for the system of rainwater harvesting and energy-efficient lighting, in fact the structure will achieve LEED certification. The structure consists of 82 floors with 215 hotel rooms from first to eighteenth, 476 residential units from the nineteenth to the fifty-second floor, 263 condominiums to the 79th floor and a penthouse. It will have six floors of underground parking and large space for vertical gardens, swimming pools, gazebos, etc...

ARCHITECTURE is everywhere!!!

Frank Lloyd Wright, Fallingwater Pennsylvania 1936-1939

Just a look to realize how architecture is rooted in our lives, it is Nature itself, it is the matter that is transformed, that takes shape. Looking around, we feel our first idea of architecture, our idea of home, of neighborhood, and of city ..
The man has for years sought to establish a relationship with Nature .. sometimes breaking away sometimes instead COMING BACK ..
